Empowering Black Artists and Community

MAG started as a collective of Black Creatives who wanted to use art as a vehicle to discuss and address our collective struggle. We galvanized to bring a choreopoem from the Baltimore, MD called, A Real Nigga Show in February 2015 to a sold out audience. Since then we’ve done residencies, learning communities, funded artists, built spaces and changed our city. The rest of the story is still being written. Tap in!

The Maroon Arts Group invites you to help us sustain our work as a cultural production movement. We believe that Black Art is a container and catalyst to imagine a new world where all of us can see our dreams realized.
