Join us Thursday, November 5 at 6:00 pm for a free community screening of TCB – The Toni Cade Bambara School of Organizing (2025, 105 min.).

A powerful documentary by Louis Massiah and Monica Henriquez, TCB celebrates the life and legacy of Toni Cade Bambara—writer, filmmaker, educator, Black feminist, and revolutionary cultural worker. The film offers lessons in cultural organizing rooted in Bambara’s lifelong commitment to collective struggle, political education, and community empowerment.

Featuring Toni Morrison, Nikky Finney, Haile Gerima, Shirikiana Aina, Alexis Pauline Gumbs, Manthia Diawara, Beverly Guy-Sheftall, Malaika Adero, Linda Holmes, Conor Tomás Reed, Makeba Lavan, and Clyde Taylor.

“Toni Cade Bambara taught us that art and organizing are inseparable; that imagination itself is a political act,” said Louis Massiah. “We made this film as an offering to her legacy and to all those building the kind of world she dreamed of.”

Come early to see David Butler’s Whiteland exhibition. Bring a friend and join us in this community call-to-action.
